Applications: Schools, Chemical laboratories, Glues preparation, Microweldings, Anatomo-pathology Safehood S fume cupboard is a mobile cabinet, easily transportable within the laboratory, or from classroom to classroom thanks to its low weight and wheeled stand (optional). A large, 15 kg BioAir size B activated carbon fi lter can be installed on Safehood S. It can be choosen from our large range of 12 different types of fi lters listed herebelow and must be ordered together with the cabinet. An inward barrier with face velocity >0,5 m/sec through the front opening ensures extremely high protection against volatile toxic substances manipulated inside the work chamber. The contaminated air is then pulled through the back slots of the work surface and fi ltered through a Filtrete � prefi lter and fi nally through the activated carbon fi lter located underneath the work surface; fi nally, free of any chemical contaminant, the air is again exhausted in the laboratory. It is advisable to change the activated carbon fi lter on a regular basis, i.e. every six months.
